Ungru limestone
The stone is named Ungru after Ungru castle that is located beside the road leading to Rohuküla port and which is one of the grandest and well-known buildings made of that specific stone.
It is a weakly dolomite limestone, which was formed by about 350 million. years ago in a zone of strong waves in the tropical low seas. Due to this, Ungru limestone has a unique texture, which is reflected in the processing with a beautiful color gamut and pattern.
